how much activity is going on in nursing homes. why do people come in with healthy minds and one day they are talking to people who are not there.

we have 3 seprate areas in the home i work in independent living, assisted living, and healthcare. in healthcare there are more deaths. but for some reason the assisted living area seems to have more activity. seeing things out of the corner of my eye to seeing some one there then blink there gone. it is really quite over there.

on health care one lady i work with was talking to me and i asked here well who told you that. she said that little girl up there. well i know of no young people that have ever lived in the home. i mean we do have one young lady she is really young. but is also mentally retarted. so is she projecting herself? or is my patient seeing angels or relatives hanging around waiting on her.

there has also been times where there is a strange smell in the air, not always though. but when you smell that smell you know it wont be long before they go. and another strange thing that happens is they will get fixed eyes. they are staring intently and become less and less responsive. then they leave also.

alot of the residents that are of sound mind, sometimes get scared. these are the ones who dont talk to what they see but come up the hall saying there is a strange man in my room.

i work with some girls that even refuse to work on the assisted living side of the building, especially at night.

it is no secret that these people are here to live out the rest of there days. and it is understandable for them to see a light and relatives who have gone on before. but i wonder why the ones who dont go like that, what r they hanging around for?

to play tricks? happens alot a light that no one is in goes off. one time there was a huge storm and the lights went off and the generator didnt kick on and a light just started blinking in an empty room full of beds, being used as storage.

some times i can be doing some paper work and feel like there is someone standing there and its no one i can see. so strange things do go on. what do u think?
