Subject: severe disatisfaction Comments: where to begin.this a letter of complaint to this company. complaint of how this whole account has been handled by this company. to begin with this company required a 275.00 deposit, which we gladly paid in full. now the lady who helped us in trying to get the electricity turned on sooner canceled the account and tried to put in a new order. which was rejected because the old order was not kicked out of YOUR system. this problem with YOUR computers was understandable. so the arangements were fixed and the 275.00 had already been processed. it was in RELIANTS HANDS.!!! electricity was turned on. a few days later we get to our amazement a refund check. this was what we thought was a good thing because there was no kind of explination, no one had ever said anything about it being sent back. we used the funds to payback from where we had borrowed it. FIRST BILL: 333.38 hmm strange. looking over it we relize that the 275.00 was included in the bill. the call was made so that we could possibly have some arangements made. NO ARANGEMENTS ON A DEPOSIT, understandable if services hadnt already started. but as it stood we had paid the deposit and by no fault of our own RELIANT SENT IT BACK. we never complained about having to pay it, never denied that a mistake was made, what we did ask was if since in RELIANTS ERROR!! could we make an arrangement for extra money with every months bill till it was settled. again it not being our fault or error or mistake or accident that the deposit was sent back i belive a little understanding would have been refreshing. we asked to speak to a supervisor. then asked to speak to her supervisor. "that wil be 1 to 2 business days mam" still have not heard back from anyone. we make a call again on 11-9-07. if you pay the 275.00 you can make arangements for the rest. and call 211 for public assistance in your area. did that. went to the salvation army. they DO NOT PAY DEPOSITS!!! we pay deposit on 11-9-07. now it is 11-10-07. put in a call to reliant. and ask for the arrangements for the amount of 58.38. then are promptly told that the amount due is over 100.00. and due by the 19th of 07. an extension was asked for of course. my husband is on disability. i only get paid on the 10th and 25th of every month. so the extension plan was to try to get MORE time past the 19th. so what happens it is moved up to the 12th. a shorter time period!!! HOW IS THIS HELPFUL????!!!!!!!!!!! we are trying to do everything YOU ask working with YOUR MISTAKES!!!! so after i learn of the SHORTER time period for payment i immideatly call back. and at this point i am livid. i have went beyond losing my temper. i had nothing nice to say. but i belive my biggest complaint was how i felt we were being screwed over. again i have requested to speak to a supervisor.i will be counting down to see how prompt of a response i get this time. now the lady i got upset with was very proffesional understanding i was not upset with her personally and frustrated with the situation at hand. she was the only one who even tried to help us after the inital call about trying to get the connect date sooner. she has given us untill the 23 of nov. to pay the 58.38. and also said the last person we talked to was wrong in telling us it was the whole amount. so dipleasure with RELIANT energy is obvious in the facts at hand. YOUR MISTAKES COMPUTER GLITCHES ACCIDENTS MISUNDERSTANDINGS AND LACK OF HELP OR CONCERN has helped me make a decision. i will be caling BBB. all news stations in the dallas area. i will be blogging on every blog site on the internet i can to tell this story again and again. i am calling the dallas paper and anything elese i can do to let anyone know this happened. we are youn he is disabled and yes this strained us emensly. emotionly and finacially. but now i am thinking this hasnt just happened to me. i can only imagine som elderly couple who nearly died of a heat stroke this summer or who will possibly freeze to death this winter. what about these people?????? does RELIANT even care? looking at RELIANTS FAQ's and other pages. i feel that RELIANT has no code of ethics if it cant even work with someone who is more than willing to pay what is owed. going beyond their resorces to do. RELIANT telling us about the 211 but not telling us they wont pay a deposit. QUICK REMINDER A DEPOSIT THAT WAS PAID IN FULL AND REFUNDED BY RELIANT ENERGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
