Balance Your Chakras With Colors and Sound

Interestingly, the ancient healers' description of the Chakras or Energy Centers first studied and written about 2600 years ago has proven to be anatomically correct. The location of the 7 Chakras which everyone has, correspond to our bodies as follows:

  • The first five are the five main nerve ganglia of the spinal column where the nerve endings form junctions. At the nerve ganglia, nerves from different organs and parts the body join the spinal cord.
  • The other two are the upper and lower areas of the brain.

Each Chakra is also associated with one of the seven endocrine glands. Thus each organ, the entire body and its functions are connected to our Chakras by the nerves which generate out from them and by the endocrine glands associated with them.

Chakras and Vibration

Everything moves, from atoms to planets millions of light years away. Electrons move around the nucleus of an atom. Planets revolve around their suns. Everything moves and therefore everything vibrates.

Where there is vibration, there is sound.

Every part of our body vibrates at a specific sound frequency. Each of the seven Chakras has a specific sound associated with it. Colors also vibrate at a specific frequency. And each Chakra has a color associated with it.

That is why the use of color and sound can return balance to our Chakras causing restored health.

The Key To Health and Healing.

Chakras are associated with our physical, mental and emotional states.

When energy does not flow freely from the Chakras, the body does not function properly. We need to reestablish the free flow of energy in order to heal.

The key to health is for our 7 Chakras to be in balance. Through stress of any kind, physical, emotional, psychological, our Chakras can become unbalanced or out of tune. Eventually, disease can result. returning our Chakras to balance can heal our diseases. Or better yet, keeping our Chakras in balance can keep us healthy physically, emotionally and psychologically.

Sound Therapy, Color Therapy And Health.

Each Chakra or Energy Center is governed by a specific sound and a specific color.

As we expose our body to different color and sound vibrations with Chakra therapy, our bodies absorb that vibration, changing our own body's energy vibrations which can bring our Chakras energy back into balance.

Applying Sound Therapy To Our Lives. Chakra Products.

Singing Bowls can be used to apply Sound Therapy to our lives. Singing bowls come in specific notes. The sounds generated by these bowls have tones and over tones that can actually be felt in every cell of your body.

Correcting Chakras Which are Out of Balance

1. Select a quiet place where you will not be disturbed for about fifteen to twenty minutes.

2. Lie down on your back on the floor or on your bed. Have seven cloth swatches corresponding to the rainbow colors with you (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet), one for each of the seven major chakras.

3. Close your eyes and relax. Take several slow, deep breaths.

4. As you begin to relax, look back over the day's events, in reverse order. Start with the moment you laid down and review the day backward until the moment you woke up.

5. Identify the major emotions and attitudes that you experienced or were exposed to in other people. What chakras were most likely to have been affected by them?

6. When you have completed this evaluation, take the color swatches for the chakra(s) you have identified, and lay them on the part of the body associated with the chakra.

7. As you lie there, with the color swatch upon your chakra point, visualize the color being absorbed and drawn through the chakra and into the body. Let your awareness focus on the fact that, as you lie there, the chakra is being balanced, along with all organs and systems of the body associated with it.

8. Take several deep breaths, focusing on drawing the color through the swatch into the chakra and restoring balance. Continue this for three to five minutes, or until you feel it is balanced.

Repeat these steps with any and all other chakra you have determined may be out of balance.

Full Chakra Color Therapy

Now that we have balanced all chakras, that were unbalanced, we need to strengthen all the chakras with color therapy. This is how we do this:

1. Place all seven color swatches upon the chakra points of the body.

2. Breathe deeply and simply allow your body to absorb the rainbow energies.

3. As you lie there and breathe in the colors, let your awareness focus on the fact that each chakra is being strengthened, balanced, and harmonized with the others. Know, feel and experience that your entire energy system is strengthening. Feel yourself coming into complete balance. Know that all of the physiological aspects of your body are being balanced and healed as you absorb these colors through your chakra centers.

4. Leave the swatches on for five to ten minutes or until you feel yourself fully balanced, charged, and aligned.

Getting to know your chakras:

It is through the first chakra that energy from the earth enters the suble energy system of the body, an where we would feel our connection with the earth on which we live. It gives us a connection with the life on the planet as a whole, that we are not separate little entities.

It is the seat of the Kundalini, the coiled up serpent waiting to spring. It controls the horizontal section of the body from just below the buttocks to a point just above the sexual organs; excretion and digestion of food.

We must balance this chakra before moving on to the others. Otherwise our growth will be without roots, i.e., ungrounded

It is primarily throught this chakra that we experience the deep feelings associated with physical manifestation: sexual energy, which is also the seat of creativity and the place where we experience that childlike wonder and excitement of things around us. A sense of innocence and wonder (which we sometimes lose because of blockages put on this c. by taboos toward sexuality.

(That nervous feeling at the pit of our stomach when something big is bothering you or you feel frightened-or you feel anxiety for no reason at all-often hits here. -or the chakra just above it, which radiates it down to the solar plexus. But they are more steady in the solar plexis, a more dulled feeling-pain, anger, fear, joy.

Fourth Chakra

The fourth chakra, the heart chakra, controls the physical body from the area of the collar boens to a point about 2 fingers above the solar plexis. There is a psychological gap b/t the 3rd and 4th chakra, a crossing point. Here a person meight begin to recognize that "self" is constantly changing as it adapts to a constantly shifting spectrum of possibilities in life. The heart chakra is associated with compassion, healing. Green is considered a healing color. Opening the heart chakra, according to Leadbeat, allows a person to sense energy fields and atmospheres. Yuo can also project energy to another person through this center. (My heart goes out to you-could be almost literal.) It is through the heart center and the "3rd eye" center that a person can project rays of energy out to antoehr person. The thymus gland, an actual pehysical gland located just above the heart, has an effect on the body's immune system.

The heart center is the regulator of a person's emotional life. If it is blocked in any way, then emotions will be distorted.

The task of this chakra is to integrate and balance the realms of spirit and mind with our physical body (matter).

This is the first level beyond 3-dimensional matter. Here we have the bridge between the dimensions of matter and the dimensions of spirit. Although we may refer to the "lower chakras" as being concerned with mankind, and the "upper chakras" as being concerned with spirituality and God, each chakra is no less imprortant than the other. For instance, the first chakra has a number of frequencies (all with the Red vibration), ranging from very low to very high. The goal is to rise above a chakra's lower frequencies into its higher ones.

Fifth Chakra

Fifth chakra- the throat. It is associated with the element Akasa -relating to things ethereal. It controls the portion of the physical body from midpoint of the nose to the collar bones. Once activated, we become conscious of our mental body(lower are physical, etheric and astral). By activating this chakra, the person becomes aware, for the first time, that the internal worlds are real worlds. The throat chakra also controls that the internal worlds are real worlds. In addition, the throat chakra controls a person's ability to express himself or herself creatively and effectively and controls facial expression and the non-verbal. It gives a person the confidence to say no, to disagree in a reasoned way. Fear is transmuted so that one is not afraid to express himself fully in all situations.

Here we have the realm of conciusness where communication occurs, whether that be within ourselves or to and from another.

In this center, a person harmonizes the opposing energies, and balances the yin and yang. A person experiences himself in the fullness of the "I Am," the union of the selves.

The chakra has control over seeing, not only in the physical sense but in the mystical sense. Intuitive seeing, clairvoyance and other forms of knowing and the paranormal are part of this chakra. It controls all higher mental activities. Also, through the power of a person's mind, he can create new realities for himself on the physical plane. The person activating the th chakra would be concerned with things beyond earthly goals, which divert many people from fulfilling their Dharma.

The essence and function of this chakra is to "see" in the sense that we accept that complete vision will include both darkness and light.

Description:
A chakra is a center of activity that receives, assimilates, and expresses life force energy. The word chakra literally translates as wheel or disk and refers to a spinning sphere of bioenergetic activity emanating from the major nerve ganglia branching forward from the spinal column. There are six of these wheels stacked in a column of energy that spans from the base of the spine to the middle of the forehead. And the seventh which is beyond the physical region. It is the six major chakras that correlate with basic states of consciousness.
