Hello Again,
Since I have the privelege to be a part of the Paranormal experience, in the little quiet time I get, I have to wonder, what was I thinking, buying those haunted items? What was I looking for, some new paranormal weird experience for the sake of diversion? Maybe. Was I hoping to be able to detach myself enough from the legends to do 'pure' research on a thing like this? I think so, at least in part. Was I hoping as millions have, and still do, for something to help me over and above all the other spiritual work I have done at this time in my life? I am sure there was part of me that wanted that to happen too. After all, its not really so different from those who carry lucky a rabbit's foot, stone, bone, or other item. Magickal assistance has been around for ages, and in a portable form such as the well known talismans of all kinds. The pendant and ring may not have set out to be that to me, but that is what I have taken them to be, and that is because they answered the question of being for good in my life. At this time in my life, I need all the GOOD I can get.
I have also asked myself if it was a bit reckless for me to take these items in, and I think I have been very lucky to not have something severe to occur. There ARE things out there that could have been harmful, and hard to get rid of. Care needs to be taken in all of these matters in dealing with 'haunted' or djinn [genie] invoked jewelry. These energies are for real, and one never really knows if the creator is really telling the truth about some things, or, if they are, are you willing to brave the forces of the paranormal gates you may open, that you may not be able to close?
Until next time,
TRKW

Hello ParaLorians!
I hope all is well with you and yours in your life. Mine has been hectic, so I thought I would cool off for a spell, so I could at the least write a coherent follow up to this saga of the Haunted Items. I apologize for leaving you hanging for so long. I am here now, by the powers of the mighty herb Siberian Ginseng, and the real Pepsi Cola. No advertising intended. [giggle.]
It has been a few weeks now since I have worn both the pendant, and the onyx ring. The onyx ring is a beautiful ring, of sterling filigree of the sturdy kind, and in the form of a slightly offset rectangle, with a lovely black onyx [I make a note to insure that you know it is a black onyx, which is a dyed form of the stone,] cabachon set in the middle. It was very striking on the website, and it showed a hand [live human no less! ] wearing the ring on the ring finger of that hand. I thought, well the voice of the article and the hand both seem to be male, so it just might fit me.... NOT! This is a pinky ring, and not at all the 'manly' image of a ring I thought it was. Of course, the latin phrase, 'caveat emptor' RANG loudly in my head, followed by, a dejected, 'gee, that is just what I get.' I cannot believe I let myself avoid my usually stringent grilling of a merchant. Oh well... I wasn't even all that intrigued by the story that was posted with the ring... Supposedly the owner/seller, had come upon the ring as he/she/it strolled in a European [maybe I am reading that part of story into it, q.v. what follows] forest. The seller says he came upon three nude, CELTIC witches, standing in a circle [oh really] around a cauldron, chanting. No kidding, wow, and we all thought witches did their rituals in the forest to trade chicken soup recipes!
According to the seller, there was a quartrain being chanted that ended in 'deiz ring.' Okay so now we know the seller supposedly stood there long enough, in a forest, obviously as quiet as dew falling, unnoticed by witches working a spell. Well, he cracks the proverbial branch, and the nude witches scatter, leaving the ring and cauldron behind. The ring was in the center in some kind of double boiler [my perception], and of course was too hot to handle. He used his sleeve as a bit of protection to grab the hot ring and take it with him.
The seller goes on to say that he [?] has had the ring about 20 years and has been satisfied with the luck and love in life that he has recieved, and thought it was time to pass the ring along so someone else could benefit from the same good he has experienced in the years he has been in possession of the ring. Um, yeeeeeeeeah, whatever, dude. If that was all there was to it, it would not have been for sale on eBay.
Yeah, I bought the ring and the pendant, but not necessarily the stories. I must admit that I actually went in search of these 'haunted' items, for the chance they represented for me to have a different paranormal experience, and for the research value. Since I wrote you last about these items, I cannot say that anything of the paranormal, other than what I have reported, has occured. The story with the pendant, I do find a bit more plausible than the story of the onyx ring. Either way, I have to very well made pieces of jewelry to enjoy and wear at the least.
Additionally, I did the same pendulum testings on the ring, using the same set of questions as I did with the pendant, and got the same set of answers. However, the main difference was in the energy level of the onyx ring being much lower on the following questions: I asked if this ring was paranormal, and when I asked if this ring 'haunted.' Of course, something related to this jewelry could still happen, but I am having serious doubts about it. I will report it if it does of course.
The final items that I bought as being 'haunted' were the brass candle holders. As most of my candles are still in my old house [ I had a house fire in March, and still getting resettled] I haven't been around to collect any of the candles that would fit these holders. The energies of some things come to the fore when they are used as they are supposed to be, so I may not have a valid report for you on these until I set candles to light in them, or polish them. As of now they are just having a squat on the floor in my corner of my loving daughter's apartment.
So far this is it for the reports on the Haunted Goodies.
Be Blessed, and see you in the next post.
Many Blessings,
TRKW

Greetings ParaLorians;
My saga of the 'haunted' items continues.
If I have learned anything in all my years of being involved with things paranormal, its that sometimes you must do some more investigation. One just MUST be certain that you are at least near being correct in your assessments of your experiences. To that end, I use the pendulums as a partner and friend to help me do just that.
As I mentioned in the previous post, I have many pendulums, but I chose my Citrine [Golden Quartz] for this exercise.
I was really excited, and anxious to get this reading done on the pendant. I set about my usual technique of deep breathing, grounding, and centering myself, for which I allow about five minutes. I use the traditional method of north/south for yes, and west/east for no. Additionally, I ask it a test question, just to make sure the Stone People spirits or surrounding spirits are not playing a prank on me during my work. Some of them are very mischievous. LoL. I sometimes ask if things like is my middle name______________, or whatever comes to mind spontaneously, and judge the answer the pendulum gives. I also include in my reading, the strength of the swing of the pendulum; I feel this is emphasis, or lack thereof, picked up by the pendulum. I always ask the pendulum to come to a complete stop between questions, and then use one of my hands to draw off the energy of the previous questions and cast it to Mother Earth for her to absorb and transform.
First question: 'Is this pendulum 'haunted?' The pendulum swung lightly into search mode and weakly swung to yes.
'Did you understand the question?' "Yes." [A more energetic swing]
'Has this pendant been tested to show paranormal activity?' ~Search mode; 'Yes.' [About the same level of energy as the previous question.]
"Will this pendant work for good in my life?" ~"Yes." [Strong energy in the swing]
"Will the spells placed on this pendant help me in a positive manner?~"Yes."
Even though the pendulum verified what the site said about being tested for paranormal activity I was disappointed at the level of energy the item displayed when tested. While I didn't expect some bizarre form of paranormal activity, I did expect a little more than I have initially recieved. It could be as well, that it is just too early for the pendant's energies to really interact with mine, after all I have only had it a week.
I will be aware if the young lady's grandmother decides to give us a visit or otherwise look in on us, as that could still happen. This is my first purchase of haunted items, so I am a newbie to this. If nothing else happens, I did get an excellent piece of jewelry at a GREAT price out of the deal. After all, the energies of the stones will interact in a positive way to bring some good things my way, and at this time in my life, I need all the good I can get! :-)
As with all of my talismanic jewelry, I cleanse it and anoint it with a Sacred Oil at least once a month, and what follows next may be a generic prayer of visualization in keeping with the original purpose of the piece. In any event, I will keep you posted.
Next time out, I will relate the story of the 'haunted' black onyx ring, its description and readings.
Continue in Peace, Love, and Light, and,
Many Blessings,
TRKW

Hello ParaLorians,
I am back at it again on this blog.
Today is the 5th of June, 2008. All of my so~called haunted items have arrived safe and sound. The multi~gemstone pendant was the first to arrive, and wow is it beautiful! It is a rare occasion when ordering something online that its picture does not do it justice, but it was in the case of this pendant, and of the onyx ring; the brass candlesticks... well, they are solid, unmarked, need a polishing, and are not weighted at the bottom, so I am a little miffed about that. But as some say, 'onwards, and upwards!'
Let's get on with the pendant. The pendant is about two inches in height, has 12 gemstone cabachons, [flat on the back] of varying shapes, and sizes, fitted into settings of .925 sterling silver, the real stuff. It has a heavy, sterling silver, filigreed bail on a solid silver loop, which is worked into the form of the pendant. Each stone has been individually set in sterling and then neatly soldered to each other to form the pendant. Even though the ad did not say it was a Tree of Life [q.v. The Kaballah] pendant, that is exactly what it looks like to me.
At the head of the pendant, is a pear shaped amethyst in the center. The presence of this stone is what really made me feel safe purchasing the pendant; even though it is of the quartz family, amethyst, and citrine, [the golden yellow quartz, and sometimes lemon colored quartz] will NEVER hold a negative charge in any form. That was my safeguard that whoever the artisan was, and the witch that owned it, did not put anything negative on this stone. The ad did not do us potential buyers the service of even telling us what the names of the stones were. Sheesh already.
At each side of the amethyst is [grammar?] a triangular carnelian stone, of the agate/chalcedony family, often used for personal power and protection, and sometimes power in general. The amethyst has below it, a round goldstone; the lore says that this stone was discovered accidentally by monks working with molten glass and copper shavings they were using for another project. I don't set much store by this stone, not because I feel it is invalid, its just that I have never been quite drawn to it, and am unfamiliar with its metaphysical lore and uses. I can say for certain that the copper in it is likely going to be a psychic energy booster; copper is often used in metaphysical tools because it conducts psychic energies as well as it does electric energies. Below the triangular carnelians and on either side of the goldstone cabachon are blue tuquoise square cabachons; next, below are two spectrolite oval cabachons, being the gem quality of the feldspar family labradorite. This stone you may have come across in your research as 'The Wizard Stone' which is new to me. LoL! I have always used it for healing and meditation; just having it on your person causes a noticeable change in your energy; it tends to be uplifting and gently energizing. Between these two, is a round tiger eye cabachon, another great stone for power and protection, but who knows what purpose it is in this pendant for? The last row, finally, [ Whew! LoL] has an oval, gem quality blue chalcedony cabachon, and on either side of those is a dark, blood red, round garnet cabachon.
Now, the ad description was fraught with a story of how the young lady came by these things which not only included other jewelry, lamps, aromatherapy lamps and the like, gemstone 'spell' boxes which SHE admits to having worked the spell work on, tested it, yada, yada.... She gives a description of how her grandmom who was a healer as well made her promise to handle these things, yada, yada.... and then it gets to the actual story of this pendant and the numerous spells, and the kinds of spells as to money, love, etc, that is placed on this pendant. I was groaning at the long read and I am a speed reader of sorts. Then here is the hook that the item has been 'tested and shown to have paranormal activity,' and that is followed by a legal disclaimer. No details are furnished as to the type of paranormal activity referred to.
Having a small army of pendulums and still on the lookout for more, I knew I was going to have to do a session on this pendant at some point but I wanted to give it a chance to 'spook up' so to speak, on its own, if it was going to actually kick off.
I don't yet have a proper chain for it, so I placed it on a length of leather cording so I could wear it and we could bond with each other's energies. I wear it all the time, except for when in the shower, or washing my hair.
I usually nap in my daughter's recliner chair in the evenings, and so I wore it during my nap the first evening, and nothing in particular happened. At least nothing that could not be ruled out or attributed to other factors.
On the first night, last week when it arrived, I noticed my quad cane, [cane with four feet, really confuses the dogs] tilted back and forth, unprovoked. As it was sitting to my left, and near the love seat, I could not see its feet, so I think I could have set it too close to the chair in the first place and it was just now settling, or it could have been sitting atop a small something and only now arighted itself. At any rate, I did what I normally did, reached out and steadied it, even before considering that my daughter had just brought in a package of so~called 'haunted' goodies in from the mailbox.
The next incident that I can relate to the pendant is the one I had the following day. I was in the recliner preparing for a nap, as my son was already softly snoring. Just as I was about to drift off, [I already had my eyes closed] I had a sensation of something approaching from my right side. Startled, I jumped, and looked, saw nothing. I settled back in for my nap with a 'hmm' in my mind. As soon as I got settled again, the same feeling returned; I opened my eyes to see a thick black film, again to my right, looking as if it was attempting to enclose me, but, it seemed as though it was trying to fan out around my aura and was spreading like it was going around a bubble. It had three rather spatulate things at the top of the part that was trying to cover the 'bubble', and that gave me the impression that it was more like an invisible something that was using its hand to pull the film over the 'bubble' I was enclosed in. I was a bit unnerved, but not overly impressed. So far nothing else has happened overtly; I have had a difference in my dreams, but nothing so significant as I could attribute it to the presence of the pendant.
Well now it was really time for me to have a cuppa something and get to work with the Pendulum Gang. I have a variety of pendulums, but chose again my favorite Citrine pendulum. When I use the pendulums on a physical item, I am using the penudulum to guage the energy present, as well as answer my other questions.
I will follow up this entry in the blog with the pendulum reading, hopefully later today. I know this one has kept you parked a little longer than you may have wanted to sit still, and I apologize for that.
Please feel free to ask any questions or make any comments. I will see you soon, and thanks for dropping by,
TRKW

Hello ParaLorians, here's hoping you and yours are doing well at this time.
The past few days have found me a bit bored, and lazy, wth seemingly nothing to do, which could not be further from the truth. I should have been more on my homework for my classes, reading, or working on getting the kinks out of posting online photos that I need to post, some of them for here. Sheesh.
My greatest stress reliever is window shopping of the best kind. . .eBay. I always have an order or two monthly for my green tea, maybe a few new stones, closeouts from a friend in Wales, but I had done that already. I went in search of some occupational activity items for my autistic son, and hopefully some yarn bargains to finish the rather large afghan I started last year. The Red Heart Jumbo SuperSaver skeins, which sell on the company site for $7.99, which isn't bad for a one pound skein, but I thought, why not check eBay? I lucked out by finding a woman who was clearing her mom's craft closet and hers, and I got a Jumbo SS and a half, and four rolls of Bernat, which I will use for another project; dye lots [yarn color at the time of processing must match or your project will be flamingly messed up.
Having completed that transaction, I just searched around for the kooky stuff that gives me the opportunity to have a laugh, be impressed, or give me a good conversation starter with some friends who are the same bent as I am.
I did a search for weird, paranormal, and haunted. Ooopsy Daisey! [whoever the heck she is] that was the jackpot. The stories were all great, even the ones that I didn't think were true at all were a fun read. What I was interested in most was the jewelry; I was attracted to a sterling silver and black onyx ring, a muliti~gemstone pendant, and some cool, brass candlesticks, all carrying 'haunted' as part of their provenance. I will see soon I guess; they are on the way. I will be keeping a personal, offline journal from which I will post to this blog. I always have to write, pen and paper style the old school way of making notes.
So, look for my posts in the upcoming weeks as I give you the skinny as to what is going on with me and my haunted possessions.
Many Blessings,
TRKW

A nice sunny day, and I would love to be at the park feeding the geese and the ducks, instead of cleaning this lovely, old, house in the Olde Towne section of the city. I have no qualms about being a paid housekeeper, but it was my only day off from the bookstore, and with two children, I really need more money, all the time.
This house was HUGE, two story deal, well appointed, and had those 14 foot ceilings that made it impossible to keep warm in fall and winter; I always wore an extra layer, or a light sweater to work in that house.
Melissa, the homeowner, knowing of my gifts, told me that she had an aunt [according to her latest reading with our Pastor Dan] that would hang around her house, so if I should hear or see a genteel older woman about, it would more likely be this aunt. We had a chuckle, and got on with the interview.
I got to know the dog, the ornery black cat, and had wonderful times with them, except when I had to vacuum the cat's favorite chair, the Chippendale arm chair in the living room. Something was afoot, as this cat and I had an 'understanding', but this day, she screeched at me! I returned the favor, which sent her off to another part of the house. Watching her hurriedly pad away, I reflected on her attitude as being a bit odd, and moody, even for a cat. I quickly put it behind me, took a breath, and got to work, after all, it was 12:30 p. m. and I still had to clean the upstairs.
Having vacuumed the cat's chair, I gathered all the gadgets of the vacuum cleaner and made ready to haul that monster upstairs. There was a lot of sunlight in the hall, and I was astonished by what I saw when I lifted my head preparing to go upstairs; someone was on the stairs! I could not believe it, but I had to, because it was going about his business, this apparition, that the light passed through, as the youthful figure jogged upstairs...
The apparition was about 16 years old, blond, white male. He appeared to be about 5'9", and 150 lbs, and he wore white tennis shorts, the kind that most kids wore at that time [this was the late '80's] and a light jade green Polo shirt. He wore white socks, rolled about his ankles, and low~top sport shoes; I did not see an insignia of any kind so I didn't know what kind they were.
The apparition, before my eyes, jogged up the steps, without making a sound of course, and upon reaching the landing, made a right turn, and went into the second bedroom. There I stood, stock still, trying to breath, trying to tell myself that I didn't see what I knew I had saw. I HAD to check this out, there was no way, I was going to leave without some kind of verification. What if it came back downstairs? What would I do then? This was one time that being raised in a haunted house did not help, and now, I was working in a haunted house!
I left the Kirby vacuum out of the way of the bottom of the stairs in case I had to bolt down them, meeting with a Kirby at high speeds could be fatal, and I was not trying to be a ghost myself. I steadied myself and went up the steps at a normal pace, determined to have an answer.
As I reached the landing, I took another breath and looked into the bedroom where the apparition went; nothing. I tried to see if there was an open window, or another door in that room, but there was not anyplace that he could have gone. That meant I had to check the closets, and [gulp] under the bed.
There were two closets, very large, and very full of clothing, looking carefully through them, finding nothing that looked liked the apparition; next came the bed. I approached the bed, after taking another breath, and hoped I didn't bop myself on the bean if I had to run, but oh well, I had to know. I knelt down, holding on to the side of the bed, bent down and took a peek; nothing was there. Lucky for me....
This had been the most unusual day I had in that I had ever had in that house; I never saw the apparition again, as long as I lived there, just the old lady aunt, in my mind's eye, horning in on my clairvoyance. She always had a peeved expression, but that is another tale, for another time.
I guess the young man, whom I nicknamed the Tennis Player, might be off on a court, playing happily in the afterlife.
I left a note for Melissa as usual, to let her know what was done that day, who came by and what not, but this time, I had something a little extra for her, the story of the Tennis Player.
