I remember the first time I saw a ghost. It was just about thirty years ago. Too long to remember; you wanna bet? You'd be surprised at what I can actually remember from this lifetime and others; but I'll save that for another blog. Back to my ghost sighting. I was three years old and my grandmother was spending some time with our family because my grandfather was staying at the local hospital due to an emphysema diagnosis. Gram, as I have come to call my grandmother, slept in my bedroom that I shared with my little sister who was barely one years old at the time. Due to this event, I had to sleep on the sofa. This was a treat for me because my father worked the third shift at GM and I would be able to hear him when he came home (I was and still am a light sleeper). I was asleep on the sofa in the living room when I heard the sound of the television and voiices. I thought that I might have slept through my father coming in. With my back turned to the family room where the sound was originating from, I decided to turn to let my father know that I was awake. When I turned to face the family/dining room I was shocked at what I saw. What did I see? A family. A transparent family at that. They were going about there business at the dinner table. To this day it still remember the movement around the dinner table. The "mother" was passing through the door to the kitchen with "dishes" that were set in front of the "family". I thoughtmaybe I was sleep. Then I noticed that the television was on and the "people" were acting as if they didn't see the television.. Which was not easy to ignore because the KISS concert was being televised. I then realized that something was not right and in the natural fashion of a litle kid I got scared and covered my face and head with my blanket. I must have fell asleep because the next thing I knew it was morning. I tried to discuss the incident with the family and it was passed off as a child's imagination. Not until I made it to my teens that I was validated. As a matter of fact I didn't get any of my experiences as a child validated until my teens or adulthood. Up until that point I was made to believe that I was crazy. I guess that and my family sparked my interests in the paranormal, metaphysical, pseudoscience, and the occult. I have had many of experiences that fall under those categories. God willing I will share all from my memories; from this life and any previous. In the future look forward to tales of cryptozoology, haunting, ghosts, elementals, angelics, demonics, UFO's, missing time, reincarnation, synchronicity, and anything that I may have missed but can fit into the "Para". Thanks for creating a "place" where "nuts" like ME can unload from there psyche! I look forward to meeting people with similar interests, experiences, etc! I shall be back; resistance is futile!
